Cambridge Mill Wedding: Kelsee & Taylor’s Love Story
When most people think about hiring a wedding photographer, they assume the work begins on the wedding day. But in reality, it often starts much earlier. During my first consultation with Kelsee and Taylor, we chatted about their upcoming Cambridge Mill wedding, and I noticed an opportunity to make their day even smoother and more relaxed.
Using their draft timeline, I suggested a first look and scheduling the majority of their group photos before the ceremony. This would free up their cocktail hour for genuine celebration rather than rushed formal portraits. Kelsee mentioned she hadn’t considered seeing Taylor before walking down the aisle, so I explained how a first look could not only make the schedule more relaxed but also create more intimate and emotional photos. They decided to go for it—and it completely transformed their day.

As the golden hour approached, we snuck up to the Juliet balcony for a quiet moment overlooking the calm river waters. It was one of those little pockets of peace that make wedding days so magical. The reception followed, where laughter, happy tears, and high school memories brought their love story full circle.
