Memoir; Fractured Truth

Memories are constructions of various processes of interpretation and imagination, rather than faithful, untouched imprints in our brains. Creating a photographic representation of a memory takes a similar approach to the neurological processes that occur naturally. Memoir; Fractured Truth is a photo series of staged scenes based on descriptions of memories submitted by various contributors. Recalling these moments was a process of reinterpretation and imagination on the part of the contributors. The described moments are reinterpreted and re-imagined, bringing the memories to life with a constructed photographed scene, from the perspective of the individual who remembers it.
