A First Look Wedding Experience
While it may seem that I’m hired for a day’s work, the truth is that I start working for my couples even before I’m officially booked. At my very first consultation meeting with Kelsee & Taylor to discuss their upcoming Cambridge Mill wedding, I used their basic timeline to suggest that instead of doing all of their formal photos between the ceremony and reception, that they instead consider doing a first look and take the majority of the group photos with their wedding party before the ceremony to give us more time and create a more relaxed wedding schedule. Kelsee said she had never considered seeing each other before the ceremony, so I explained why I think it would both help their wedding photos and experience of the day and they decided to move forward with that plan.
On their wedding day, Kelsee couldn’t say enough good things about organizing their wedding day that way and said she’d recommend it to anyone. Just goes to show you that the role of a wedding photographer is definitely not limited to just capturing images, but to make the couple’s wedding day the best it can be in every way. The couple and I even snuck up to the Juliet balcony for a quiet moment looking over the calm river waters at golden hour.
Riverside Cambridge Mill Wedding
Historic Cambridge Mill is such a charming wedding venue and on a sunny day like Kelsee & Taylor’s, the sun streams into the huge 360-degree windows of the pavilion and reflects off the river in the most picture-perfect way. Laughter filled the pavilion as the high school sweethearts took their long-term love story to the next level. Their reception in the Gallery brought a heartfelt and lively close to a perfect day. It was such a pleasure getting to know Kelsee & Taylor and getting to capture the incredible wedding day of these high school sweethearts.
