Tizanella & Anthony | Toronto, Ontario
Tizanella & Anthony's Guild Inn Estate Wedding as fun as it was scorching. Their wedding day was sunny and beautiful all afternoon, but definitely one of the hottest days of the year. Guild Inn Estate was built in 1914 and is located on Guildwood Parkway in Scarborough. The historic mansion sits atop Scarborough Bluffs, with gorgeous views of Lake Ontario. After an incredible restoration and additions on both ends of the Guild Inn, it reopened in 2017 as a gorgeous event and wedding venue. Guild Inn is able to accomodate groups anywhere from 15 guests to 1000, which makes it an incredibly versatile venue, whether you're facing COVID-related gathering limits or not.
Guild Park Wedding PhotosTiz & Tony's wedding party was the best and had a ton of fun hanging out in Guild Park & Gardens, despite everyone being overheated and sweaty. One of the biggest advantages to getting married at Guild Inn is that you're surrounded by a gorgeous garden and park space. There are virtually endless options for backdrops for your first look, wedding party photos, family portraits and newlywed portraits, and it's an amazing space for your guests to explore during any downtime you may have in your wedding day schedule. You can't help but feel inspired at Guild Park. It's such a beautiful and unique location for wedding photos, with gorgeous sculptures, a charming fountain, and historic structures. As well as a perfect backdrop for an epic wedding party photo, the massive greek stage is an amazing option for your wedding ceremony location, if you would rather be surrounded by nature to exchange your vows. Permits for wedding photos and wedding ceremonies in Guild Park can be purchased through the City of Toronto.
Guild Inn Gazebo Wedding CeremonyTizanella & Tony's wedding ceremony took place at the outdoor, covered gazebo that is attached to the beautifully renovated Guild Inn Estate. The aisle runner was made of book pages, and so began their marriage story. Thankfully the couple opted for a first look and photos with the wedding party before the ceremony, because just as the ceremony came to a close, the sky opened up and a heavy rainstorm came through. Unfortunately, this meant their patio cocktail hour had to be moved indoors, but the beautiful addition at Guild Inn Estate was the perfect space to stay indoors and enjoy a break from the heat and humidity.
Guild Inn Wedding Reception HallI loved the energy of Tiz & Tony's Guild Inn wedding reception. The bridal party's entrances were epic to say the least - guests were on their feet cheering as each bridesmaid and groomsmen entered. The modern, twenty-foot, floor-to-ceiling windows of the reception hall look out to the patio and the lush gardens of Guild Park. During dinner, "I Swear" by All-4-One came on and the whole head table dropped their forks and started singing. By the end of the song, they were all holding the decorative candles from the table and swaying in unison. After the sun set and once the rain slowed, I found some great big puddles out front of the Scarborough wedding venue. I used the reflection from the puddles to create a dynamic photo of the Guild Inn. While I was out there, I thought it was a great opportunity to invite Tiz & Tony to join me for one last romantic photo under an umbrella by the beautiful pillars that welcome guests. It was truly a perfect way to capture the magical romance of their wedding day. Congratulations Tizanella & Tony - your wedding was amazing and beautiful and I wish you two all the best!
